Because there are so many people that come through the Moffitt entrance, we don't want to put you in a situation where you don't remember someone's face who went out to the restroom.
On top of that, sometimes the workleader (or me) needs to call students away from Moffitt for training or other reasons and replaces them with the fourth person. We don't want to be in a position where we have to wait for the restroom-goer to return before the Moffitt person can leave the desk.
Here's a good example for a response to the question:
You need your ID to re-enter the building. You can either go get your ID or use the restrooms in the Gardner Stacks.
