Thank you to Armita for noticing that we had a different understanding of the food policy than security. Mark has now clarified the Moffitt food and drink policy for us:
Individual servings and snacks are allowed in Moffitt Library. Group servings such as large pizzas are not allowed (because there is less responsibility for mess with groups). A person may bring in a single serving salad, burrito, etc. Alcohol is not allowed.
If a group has already ordered pizza, they can receive the delivery at the door but their group must go elsewhere to eat it.
As always, Doe Library and Gardner Stacks do not allow food or cups without spill-proof lids. Paper coffee cups, Jamba Juice or boba tea containers are not acceptable for Doe and the Stacks.
We are counting on each of you to enforce the policy. Students at the Information Desks must be alert to all users entering Doe or the Stacks with food or unapproved beverage holders. Please make this a high priority.
