Other UC ID cards - eligible for yellow card from Privileges Desk

Students, staff and faculty from other UC's can no longer enter Moffitt by simply showing their UC ID card. However, they are in luck! If they bring a photo ID with proof of current registration to the Privileges desk, we will collect their contact information and issue them a yellow card so they will be able to check out material and enter Moffitt.

All UC campuses' students, staff, faculty and visiting scholars have their own respective Photo ID Cards. Again, you should always refer these folks to the Privileges Desk to obtain a yellow card and let them know that they will need to provide proof of current enrollment.

You may also see other campuses' "LIBRARY" reference, or access pass cards.

The "LIBRARY" reference/access passes are often just members of the general public who have either paid or have been vetted for use of that specific campuses collections; this does not extend to UC Berkeley's collection by default. They may be eligible for an access pass to the collection or a borrowing card here on this campus, but again, they will need to speak with Privileges during normal business hours to gain access.

For your reference, I have included below examples of other campuses' photo ID cards:

UC Irvine:
 UC Riverside:
 (UC) Hastings School of Law:
 UCLA (Law):
 UCLA (general student, staff, faculty):
 UC Santa Barbara:
UC San Diego (Staff / Faculty):
 UC San Diego (student):
 UC San Francisco:
 UC Merced:

Last thing, These are the most current versions but are subject to change; clearly new formats of the a photo ID explicitly listed as the other UC campus should be directed to Privileges if this post gets dated; please advise if you see other formats so I may update accordingly.

  1. Hi all,
Also. there is a UCSB black and white ID that looks fake, but is actually real. The colored version you have to pay 20 bucks for.

Here is a hyperlink to the image, which should be accepted by us:
