Library Staff (including Info Desk) are NOT allowed to enter Moffitt

As of 2/5/22, Library Staff (and library student-workers) are no longer allowed to enter Moffitt. If Library Staff have a valid reason to enter, they must arrange with Security a pre-approved and scheduled escort. 

ONLY security, facilities, custodial and emergency personnel are authorized to pass through the hallway on level C of the Main Stacks. With the exception of emergency personnel, please continue to ID check folks at the door to confirm their association with the aforementioned departments.

Remember, Moffitt is an active construction site. For the safety of others, it is critical that you are attentive when guarding the door and firm in turning unauthorized people away. If anyone gives you a hard time about this (including Library Staff), do let me know right away!

Please note that Info Desk workers are also not allowed to enter Moffitt at any time. This means that...

1. The Moffitt staff break room is off limits. Please instead take your breaks outside of the library or use the Doe break room on the 4th floor. Email me if you need the code.
2. The Info Desk worker opening at Main Stacks cannot enter through Moffitt 3, as they used to. If you are scheduled to open Main, you must enter using the "Staff Only" door at the entrance to Doe Circulation (pictured below). You can unlock this door using the key located in the laptop bag. Once opened, re-lock the "Staff Only" door before stepping through it so patrons cannot wander in before opening.
