Lactation / Breastfeeding Room

Update for Fall 2020

Lactation Rooms: Following campus limited building access directives, only select lactation rooms will be available for essential on-campus users. So far, these rooms are in: Birge, Dwinelle, Evans, Wheeler (Haas, Cheit, Simon), but we will continue to update the list if/when more buildings reopen later in the year. Each room will be equipped with Covid-19 compliant guidelines and supplies. You can find more information on how to gain special access to these rooms here

There will be limited lactation rooms available as campus buildings slowly reopen. Select rooms will be accessible via Cal ID card and equipped with Covid-19 Guidelines, disinfectant wipes, and hand sanitizer. You may contact the Breastfeeding Support Program with questions at breastfeeding@lists.berkeley.edu.

There is a lactation room available to faculty, staff and students in 305 Moffitt. This is the room right next to the Moffitt break room.

In order to enter the room, the woman needs to register with the Breastfeeding Support Program to obtain the passcode to the door - we don't give this out ourselves.

If someone needs immediate access, the number for the Breastfeeding Support Program is (510) 643-4646.
