Scanning continues to be free and anyone access the ones in Doe (scanners are located in the North Reading Room, Heyns Reading Room, and Copy Room by the Circulation desk). The best thing about the new scanners is that you can now email scans to yourself, in addition to the USB or printing options.
Please note that the new Scannx Bookscanners are set to power off after 4 hours of idle time. After the bookscanners have been idle for 4 hours or longer, if you try to use the touchscreen you will receive an error message stating "Scanner not detected". You need to press the power button on the right side of the scanner to turn it on. Hold it for about one second until you see the blue light turn on.
If you need to turn on the touch screen, press the power butting at the lower right.
