FREE printing option - Open Computing Facility

You are frequently asked "where can I print?"

Common answers include:

"Upstairs" in Doe (2nd Floor Reference)

and

"Right there" in Moffitt

However, turns out there is another alternative that is not an immediate solution but one that many students may not be aware of, and you are encouraged to share with the public.

The Open Computing Facility, room 171 of the MLK Student Union, where students who register may print for FREE!

There are limits to the free printing. At the time of this post, the limit is - 20 pages per day and 200 pages per semester (https://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/docs/services/lab/printing/).

AND you have to register first: http://wiki.ocf.berkeley.edu/membership/. You can register online but approval might take a week or more (!) ALSO, patrons should take note that they DO check for Cal1 Cards to enter the Open Computing Lab.

Also, staff, post-docs, UC Extension students, official visiting scholars, etc. are also eligible!

Best part, it's all volunteer, and student run...
