Let's just say you spent a "great" weekend in Tahoe, and broke your business...
Now you are on crutches, or rocking the big black boot, walking is a beast; class/home get farther and farther apart with each trip....
Sounds like you need The Loop!
From time to time, a patron may ask you at the Infodesks if there is a service to assist their mobility around campus...
The Loop is a campus service with various stops around campus to pickup and assist in the transport of Campus personages across difficult distances.
The Loop operates Monday through Friday, 8:45am to 5:30pm.
The Loop does not take reservations. It offers eligible riders a ride on a first come first served basis, with priority given to eligible students using the Loop for an academic purpose.
To request a Loop ride for a patron, call the Loop cart at (510) 586-LOOP (5667) when they are ready to be picked up (it usually takes less than five minutes for the Loop cart to arrive at the destination where you have requested pick up).
The patron can request a ride for themselves if they have a cell phone, but we should always place the request if asked. Furthermore, this is an Info Desk duty, not security. Security is busy roving the library and we are the ones sitting next to a phone.
