Gardner/Moffitt Library Visitor List

An online visitor's list that grants access to Moffitt Library and MAIN Stacks has been created  to help accommodate special library guests and allow them through the Moffitt entrances without a library card:

The link has been bookmarked at the Moffitt 3 and 4 desks.

Guests will let you know that they have been added to this list. All you will need to do is check the guest's government issued ID against the list to verify that they have been pre-approved for access. Anyone on the list may enter through the Moffitt entrances, or at Level A to the MAIN Stacks.

Guests will be added to this list by request of the Library Development Office or other library administration to help accommodate special guests who otherwise don't fit criteria for other means of access. Typical guests will include library donors, important campus visitors, architects involved in remodeling the Moffitt spaces, etc. Here are the official guidelines for this procedure:

  • Visitors do not need to be accompanied and will need to let the student staff at the Information Desk at the entrance to Gardner Main Stacks, Moffitt 4th floor Welcome Desk or Moffitt 3rd floor Information Desk know that they are listed on the online visitor’s list and show a government issued photo ID when entering.

The Online Visitor's List does not replace the Visitor's Binder at Moffitt 3rd Floor, which is used by Library Staff with offices on the Moffitt 2nd floor, and for students who are being escorted to their class. Moffitt staff will still need to add guests to the physical list at Moffitt 3rd floor and direct their guests through this entrance.

For a complete overview of our different access exceptions, please view our policy overview, which I will print and place at each Moffitt entrance for easy review.
