Effective immediately, all three walkies should be
assigned to specific locations corresponding to the labels on the side of the radios. Our new radio technology allows them to be "tagged" and provide immediate metadata to all recipients similar to a caller ID; this will allow for location verification in case anyone neglects to advise who is calling out and to whom (which is still the
best practice for getting a response!). Provided the radios are physically assigned to their intended locations as listed below:
#52 - Doe SOUTH
#54 - Doe NORTH
#56 - MOFFITT
Furthermore, it is critical you are always verifying that the radio is set to
"CHANNEL 1 - LIBRARY" so you may hear all transmissions, if you are off channel, you may need to adjust using the middle dial (on top of device); if you are unsure or unable to get back on channel call the workleader or your supervisor immediately for remedy.
